Research Interests

I am broadly interested in how anthropogenic change impacts ecological communities.  One of my main questions is: how do plants respond to climate change?  Different species respond in different ways, and I want to know what traits are associated with these responses.  This allows us predict which species will respond based on their traits.  I am also interested in ecological restoration and land management practices.  I hope that my research will provide land managers strategies they can use to effectively manage ecological communities in the face of climate change–or at least let them know what to expect!
